1Preheat oven to 350F
2Melt shortening, stir in sugar. Add unbeaten egg. Beat until blended.
3Sift flour, salt, baking powder and stir into egg mixture.
4Add vanilla, oats, and raisins.
5Place teaspoon ball onto a greased baking sheet. Bake for 15 to 20 minutes.
6Remove and cool on wire rac
